Indian Institute of Science Bangalore has invited online application for the JEST 2012. Joint Entrance Screening Test is conducted every year for admission into the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) programme / integrated PhD programme in Physics, Theoretical computer science and various interdisciplinary research areas in various leading institutes of India.

JEST 2012 Entrance examination will be conducted in various Indian cities i.e. Ahmedabad, Vishakhapatnam, Aligarh, Udaipur, Allahabad, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Siliguri, Bardhaman, Silchar, Bhopal, Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, Roorkee, Chandigarh, Raipur, Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Patna, Goa, Nainital, Guwahati, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Indore, Madurai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kanpur, Kochi, Kharagpur.
Prospective candidates can visit the JEST 2012 website as online application by visiting the www.jest.org.in. Candidates should follow the instructions and guidelines while filling the application form for JEST along with application fee which can be submitted before or after the submission of application.

One must write his/her name and unique submission number on the reverse side of the challan/receipt/counterfoil and send it to JEST 2012, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore 560012, latest by December 20, 2012. In addition, the receipt/challan/counterfoil can also be scanned and e-mailed to jest12@physics.iisc.ernet.in along with the name and the unique submission number.
Candidates should keep visiting the JEST 2012 website for more information. JEST Admit Card will be issued well before the examination to the candidates participating in this national level examination. Candidates should bring the Hall ticket at the time of examination which is necessary for appearing in the exam.
